Long time ago, there lived a husband and wife in a big town. The man was a cobbler, and his wife, a fruit-seller. They were poor but very hard-working. The man sat all day in a small stall at the corner of the street and mended shoes that were brought to him. His wife sold the fruits and vegetables they grew in their garden, at the market place. She was always neat and clean and her goods were spread nicely for the customers.
